The clinical science division at the Perkins is co-led by Professor Grant Morahan and Professor Peter Thompson.

The Perkins is establishing the Wesfarmers Centre for Translational Research focussed on cardiovascular disease at our new facility on the Fiona Stanley Hospital campus at Murdoch.

Our internationally significant diabetes research has led to new tests to uncover a persons likelihood of developing diabetes and the severity of it’s complications, as well as pinpointing genetic markers that will be used to combat the growing epidemic of diabesity.
