MACA Ltd has upheld its title as the most successful fundraising team globally in the Ride to Conquer Cancer.
MACA is the title sponsor of the MACA Ride to Conquer Cancer which raises funds for Western Australia’s leading adult medical facility, the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research.
From 2012, MACA have contributed over $6.6 million to the Ride, through sponsorship and fundraising efforts.
They have grown their team from 107 riders in 2012, to 268 riders in 2016, each raising a minimum of $2,500 to participate.
Perkins Director, Professor Peter Leedman, extended his thanks to MACA for their dedication to the cause year after year.
“MACA has been and continue to be a committed and generous partner to the Institute. I am sincerely thankful to Geoff Baker and every MACA rider for their unwavering support,” Professor Leedman said.
MACA’s support of the Perkins helps fund cutting-edge research initiatives, specialist equipment and keeps the best and brightest medical researchers in Perth, working on the major diseases that affect our community.
MACA Operations Director, Geoff Baker, paid special tribute, “we owe a big thanks to our clients, suppliers, employees, friends and donors, who supported Team MACA in what has been a challenging year”.
