Professor Fatovich receives award for second time
Head of CCREM, Daniel Fatovich has received the Edward Brentnall Award for a second year running.
Professor Fatovich won the 2016 research award for his paper entitled ‘Perceptions of Australasian Emergency Department Staff of the impact of Alcohol-Related Presentations’.
Professor Fatovich said the paper has had a huge response, which reflected how much alcohol-related presentations were an everyday issue for ED staff.
“The award highlights the value of working in a research team and the collaboration and collegiality involved,” Professor Fatovich said.
The award was presented at the 33rd annual scientific meeting of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine, held in New Zealand in November.
The award is made annually to a Fellow for the best paper related to public health.
Professor Fatovich shared the same award in 2015, for a paper also on alcohol-related presentations.
Well done Professor Fatovich!
