The Lotterywest BioDiscovery Laboratory is a specially designed laboratory, providing an opportunity for community members to don a lab coat and take part in ‘hands-on’ experiments. A number of programs are run in the centre which cater for both schools and community members. Activities can be run in the Lotterywest BioDiscovery Centre (wet lab) or the Lotterywest Community Resource room (dry lab).
In groups of up to 16 you will be able to:
- Extract DNA;
- See living cancer cells;
- Interact with scientists; and
- Use research grade equipment as used every day by medical researchers.
A range of programs has been designed for groups of individuals, community groups and school students. Bookings are essential.
