Schools

The BioDiscovery Centre is part of the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research. As we are a registered charity, all classes are required to operate on a cost recovery basis. Fees charged cover the cost of resources and materials used in order to give students an authentic experience in a research laboratory.

Booking Fee

Schools will be invoiced for a $100 Booking Fee at the time of booking in order to hold their preferred date(s). This fee will be deducted from the total cost when a school is sent the final invoice invoiced post visit. For cancellations less than one month out from a scheduled visit, the booking fee will not be refunded. 

Final numbers: are required one week prior to a visit. The school will be invoiced based on this number.
Price per student: $50 per student for 21 or more 
20 or fewer students: a minimum fee of $1000 applies. Please contact us to discuss how we may be able to assist by linking you up with other smaller groups to reduce costs.

Photographic Consent

The onus is on the school to obtain permission for students to be photographed. Photos taken during the session may be used by the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research for publicity purposes. School are asked on the Booking Form to advise the BioDiscovery of any student who cannot be photographed and provide the names of said student(s)

Community Groups will be invoiced for a $50 Booking Fee at the time of booking in order to hold their preferred date(s). This fee will be deducted from the total cost when they are sent a final invoice invoiced post visit. For cancellations less than one month out from a scheduled visit, the booking fee will not be refunded.

$35 per participant morning tea inclusive
